Loretta Butehorn PhD, CCH
Loretta
Butehorn, Ph.D., CCH is a licensed psychologist and a
trained homeopath. Her psychological training was quite
eclectic and combines developmental psychology,
cognitive behavioral theory, family systems,
psychodynamic conceptualizations and transpersonal
approaches. In addition to her traditional training,
since 1985 Dr. Butehorn has extensively explored
complementary and alternative approaches to health,
recovery and healing. She developed the first course in
complementary/alternative therapies ever presented at
Boston College; a course she continues to offer each
year. She has extensive training in shamanism,
hypnosis, EMDR, DBT and Thought Field Therapy and is a
Fellow of the British Institute of Homeopathy. Dr
Butehorn is Co Director of Teleosis School of Homeopathy
in Boston, and Director of the Homeopathic Counseling
Program. In addition to teaching both undergraduate
psychology students and graduate management students at
Boston College in the College of Advancing Studies, Dr.
Butehorn consults and teaches nationally on topics of
homeopathy,health and recovery, substance
abuse/addiction and treatment, violence, family work and
child welfare. She has a private practice in Boston
consulting with both psychological and homeopathic
clients.
