The Doctor of
Homeopathic Medicine program is scheduled to
begin in February 2011 as a four year full-time
degree program. The school operates on a quarter
system. All quarters are eleven weeks each.
The program offers the degree of Doctor of
Hahnemannian Principles (DHP). See the Legal

This program is open to
anyone with a Bachelor’s degree of education or
equivalent. See the prerequisites section for
more details.
This program is now available as a synchronous
online program. This requires a one week
residential intensive per semester. Please

Students with doctoral level medical licensure
(MD, DO, ND) will be able to place out nearly
all of the medical portions of the curriculum.
Students with masters level medical training
will be able to place out of a portion of the
medical curriculum depending on their training
(RN, NP, LAc, PA etc.) Students with homeopathic
certification through the CHC, DHANP or ABHt
will be able to place out of the most of the
homeopathic portion of the curriculum. More details.
AMCH
offers a joint degree track that encompasses six
years of study, with training in both Oriental
Medicine and Homeopathic Medicine.

The curriculum provides a comprehensive preparation for the professional practice of homeopathic medicine. It is based on a firm foundation of the fundamental principles and philosophy of homeopathic medicine. The program is also innovative and responsive to changes in the clinical environment, health care system and characteristics of the populations to be served. The curriculum is designed to enable students to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitudes necessary to meet the educational learning objectives of the program.
Integration
The curriculum is integrated among disciplines and among the basic, clinical, social and behavioral sciences and the humanities.
Opportunities for Self Direction in Learning
Opportunities for self-direction in learning are included throughout the curriculum. Electives are available in the last year of the program.
Focus on Clinical Training, Community, Research and Humanism
Clinical training is included in all years of the curriculum and includes opportunities for students to participate in interprofessional teams. Professionalism and humanism are integrated into all aspects of the curriculum. The curriculum is designed to foster both intercollegiate community and the process of becoming a part of the homeopathic profession. Humanism, research and community are the three core values of the program’s curriculum.
