The
American Medical College
of Homeopathy is pleased to
announce the start of a revised
and updated certificate program
in classical homeopathy.
Classes will start in Feburary 2011,
along with the start of the new
homeopathic medical school.
This program is offered in both a
real time synchronous online format
and in a classroom format. The program is a three year
part-time program that encompasses 1104 clock hours.
Students attend an average of 1-2 days per week. These
programs are specifically designed for both non-licensed
and licensed health care professionals to practice
classical homeopathy.
The Homeopathic Practitioner Program provides a solid
preparation for the professional practice of homeopathic
medicine. They are based on a firm academic and
practical foundation using the fundamental principles
and philosophy of homeopathic medicine.
This program is responsive to changes in the clinical
environment, the business of health care, health care
systems and characteristics of populations to be served.
The curriculum is designed to enable students to
demonstrate the knowledge, skills and attitudes
necessary to meet the educational learning objectives of
the program and the career in which they are being
prepared for. Clinical training is integrated fully into
the program and includes extensive participation in the
AMCH clinics, mentorship as well as supervision.
Development of business and marketing skills is also an
important part of the program. Professionalism and
humanism are the hallmarks of the programs as they are
designed to foster the sense of students as members of a
learning community and members of the homeopathic
profession.
The Certificate Program is a three-year part-time
program that is both campus based and internet based.
Online classes are live and video-stream the same
material as the campus based classes. Online students
can interact live with the instructor during the class.
The school operates on a quarter system. All quarters
are twelve weeks each. Classes are held for 2-3 days per
week.
