She received her B.S. degree in Zoology from the University of Wyoming in 1979 followed by her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University in 1986. She practiced companion animal medicine for a year in Colorado before moving to the Santa Ynez Valley of California where she joined the team of the Buellton Veterinary Clinic. She became interested in complementary and alternative medicine and in 1996 and 1997 and studied Classical Homeopathy with Richard Pitcairn PhD. She went on to become certified in Classical Homeopathy through the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy. She served on the Board of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy from 2000 to 2005, including the positions of Treasurer, Chair and President. She has served as co-editor on the Academy’s Journal Committee since its inception in 1997. She moved back to Sheridan in 2004 and currently divides her time between the practice in Buellton, California and a 100% homeopathic practice in Sheridan, Wyoming.
Glen Dupree, CVH
Glen
Dupree is a licensed veterinarian in the State of
Louisiana. He has practiced veterinary Homeopathy for
the past 10 years in Louisiana, Pennsylvania and New

made with various human Homeopaths. Currently his
practice of veterinary Homeopathy is based in St.
Francisville, Louisiana.
Jeffrey Feinman, BA, CVH
Jeffrey Feinman holds both molecular biology and veterinary degrees from the University of Pennsylvania. He was the first veterinary dual degree recipient at Penn in the prestigious University Scholar program (which was designed to foster medical scientists). In clinical practice he quickly became alarmed by increasing rates of allergy, cancer and other degenerative diseases. Frustration with the poor results of conventional treatment for these disorders led him to the study and practice of homeopathic healing. He founded his integrative veterinary practice,
HomeVet®
(www.homevet.com), in 1988. He has since studied with Richard Pitcairn, David Little, Paul Herscu and Andre
Saine. Jeffrey Feinman has been a Board member of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy since 2002 and is currently its' President (2005-2007) and Chairman of the Education Committee.
Wendy Jensen, CVH
Wendy Jensen is a licensed veterinarian in the State of
New Hampshire. She has been practicing 100% homeopathy
since 1992. She received her veterinary degree from the
New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987,
and completed the Professional Course in Veterinary
Homeopathy before being certified by the Academy of
Veterinary Homeopathy (AVH) in 1994. She has published
numerous articles in holistic health magazines for
animals. She continues to study at Advanced Veterinary
Homeopathy meetings held by the Animal Natural Health
Center and has presented at AVH and Professional Course
meetings, as well as a conference of the Homeopathic
Medical Society for the State of Pennsylvania. She has
served on the initial board for the AVH, and has been
the Executive Editor for the Academy of Veterinary
Homeopathy's Journal since its inception in 1998.
Karen A. Komisar BS,
MS
Karen
Komisar is a licensed veterinarian in the State of
Massachusetts. Karen received her degrees from the Ohio
State University, graduating with her DVM in 1984. After
a three-year period in private practice, she took over
as Program Director for the Veterinary Technicians
Program at a college in MA. She has remained in this
position since 1987 and is now the Department Chair for
Animal Sciences. Her interest in homeopathy began in the
mid 1990’s. She completed both the basic and advanced
courses in veterinary homeopathy offered by Richard
Pitcairn and became certified by the AVH in 1999. She is
an active member of the AVH and is currently a board
member as well as a past president. In 2001 she taught
Pitcairn’s basic homeopathy course on the East coast.
In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has
operated a 100% homeopathic consulting practice since
1996.
Anthony Krawitz
Anthony Krawitz graduated from the
University of Pretoria, Onderstepoort, South Africa, in
1983 with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science Degree. He
worked in several multiple-doctor practices before
building his own hospital in South Africa. He earned his
Florida license in 1986, and moved to Florida in 1993
where he joined Calusa Animal Hospital, becoming a
partner in 1995. Together with Dr. Turkell, they
realized their dream and built Calusa Veterinary Center,
a state-of –the –art facility which opened its doors
in September 2006.
Anthony Krawitz boasts broad experience
in all aspects of veterinary medicine, including
internal medicine and general surgery, and is well-
known for his “bikini-cut” spay technique, which got
its name due to the small incision he makes. In the late
1980s, he became interested in homeopathy as an
alternative way of practicing medicine, which led him to
study homeopathy. In 1997, he became a certified
veterinary homeopath after completing the professional
course in veterinary homeopathy given by Richard
Pitcairn, founder of the Academy of Veterinary
Homeopathy. He now practices classical homeopathy and
serves as a member of the homeopathic certification
committee of the Academy of Veterinary Homeopathy, a
body that certifies veterinarians who have fulfilled
professional homeopathy studies. He lives in Delray
Beach with his wife Jeanette, their animal-loving
daughters Shannon and Ashton, doggy Pavel, and bird
Petey. He is a sports fanatic and is an avid Miami
Dolphins fan.
Martha C. Lindsay, MS
Martha
Lindsay is a licensed veterinarian in the State of
Massachusetts. She received her DVM and Master’s
degrees from Michigan State University. She practiced
conventional medicine for 20 years with a special
interest in small mammals, birds and reptiles, then
worked for 2 years in a conventional behavior medicine
practice while studying homeopathy. In 2006, she was
certified in veterinary homeopathy through the Academy
of Veterinary Homeopathy. Currently she shares an
alternative medicine practice with her husband. She has
lectured for civic groups, animal trainer facilities, at
national meetings and at Tufts Veterinary School.
Marybeth
Minter
Marybeth Minter is a licensed
veterinarian in the State of Wyoming. She has been a
solo practitioner in the Jackson, Wyoming area for the
past 10 years and has developed Mariposa Mobile
Veterinary Service over this time. Her house call
practice has evolved with each modality of holistic
medicine that she has studied. She was working as a
conventional veterinary practitioner prior to this
shift. In the interim, she looked into public health
practice, finishing her course work in the MSPH program
at the University of Colorado in Denver. She did not
complete her master’s thesis in the transition of her
move to Wyoming. During part of this time, she was
employed at National Jewish Hospital in Denver working
as a laboratory animal researcher. She knows now that
these positions were her transition to embrace
veterinary holistic medicine/classical homeopathy.
In 1998, she started with veterinary
acupuncture and Chinese herbal courses, and never looked
back. She began identifying with an even greater
perspective on healing and the curative process when she
started studying classical homeopathy through
Pitcairn’s Animal Natural Health Center courses. As
she practiced homeopathy and gained experience, her
passion for this modality grew. This brought to her
awareness some family history. Her maternal grandfather
had been a medical doctor who graduated from Hahnemann
Medical School in Philadelphia in the late 1920’s. In
his early medical practice, he made house calls and
practiced homeopathy. A few years ago, her mother
located his homeopathic kits. Looking at these, she
feels she has some tangible piece of her grandfather’s
essence. Now nearly 75 years later, it is wonderful to
witness an institute of homeopathic education returning.
It is obvious from her varied occupational past that her
intent is to continue learning about and practicing the
classical homeopathic approach to treating her patients.
Jacqueline S. Obando
Jacqueline S. Obando is a licensed
veterinarian in the State of Washington. She was born
and raised in Porto Allegre, Brazil, where she attended
Veterinary School at the Federal University of Rio
Grande do Sul, having graduated in 1983. After working
for a few years in a mixed animal practice, she traveled
to Europe to further her studies in Homeopathy. She
moved to NYC in 1987 and has lived and practiced on
Mercer Island, east of Seattle, since 1996. Her life’s
passion has always been to heal our dog and cat friends.
She keeps current with state of the art orthodox
veterinary techniques, as well as alternative treatment
modalities of homeopathy, chiropractic and nutrition/nutraceuticals.
