Faculty MemberDr. Valeria Breiten is a Naturopathic Physician and Registered Dietitian. She has practiced homeopatþ since 1995. In Oregon she studied with Deborah Gordon, MD, Willa Esterson CCH ( now Keizer) and Durr Elmore, ND. She published a nationally distributed newsletter, Better Health thru Homeopathy and was the Northwest Regional Study Group coordinator. Dr. Breiten came to Arizonain 1997 to attend Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, graduating in 2001. She worked as an HMA supervised by Dr. Todd Rowe for two years while in medical school and was on the board for the Phoenix area homeopathy study group. She was adjunct faculty for the Desert Institute School of Classical Homeopatþ when it opened in 1999 until 2002. She attended Hahnemann College of Homeopatþ in 2001 and 2002. She has been practicing as a Naturopathic Physician in Chandler, Arizona for eleven years.
Iris Bell MD, MD(H), PhD
Chair of Research DepartmentDr. Bell graduated with an AB degree in biology from Harvard University, magna cum laude. She then received her PhD in Neuro- and Biobehavioral Sciences and her MD from Stanford University. After completing her psychiatry residency at the University of California - San Francisco, Dr. Bell served as a faculty member at the University of California - San Francisco and, later, at Harvard Medical School. She is board-certified in psychiatry, with added qualification in geriatric psychiatry. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles, as well as over a dozen book chapters, and a monograph on environmental chemical sensitivity. She has received grant funding from the National Institutes of Health, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and numerous private foundations on topics ranging from nutrition in dementia and depression to the neurobiology of environmental illness to individual difference predictors of excellent outcomes during classical homeopathic treatment. Dr. Bell is currently Professor of Psychiatry, Psychology, Medicine, Family & Community Medicine, and Public Health as well as Director of Research for the Program in Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. She also directs an NIH-funded T32 Complementary and Alternative Medicine Research Training Grant for predoctoral and postdoctoral fellows.
Faculty MemberCheri Newton completed her Diploma in Homeopathy at the School of Homeopathy, New York, studying with great homeopathic mentors like Jeremy Sherr, Misha Norland, Sadhna Thakkars and Jo Daly, to name a few. She has brought her skills in mentoring and her enthusiasm for Homeopathy together in order to help educate Tucsonans about Classical Homeopathy.
Greg Meyer MD, MD(H), CCH
Faculty MemberGreg Meyer MD, MD(H), MSPH earned his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, Chicago, Illinois and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. His Masters of Science in Public Health /Epidemiology was completed at the University of Illinois Medical Center, Chicago. He completed the certificate program in Classical Homeopathy at the American Medical College of Homeopathy, Phoenix. Currently he practices Classical Homeopathy in Phoenix and is a licensed homeopathy physician in Arizona, and is faculty at the American Medical College of Homeopathy in Phoenix. In addition, he is a staff physician in urgent care for Cigna Healthcare, and is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine. In his spare time he does photography and world travel. Farokh Master MD
FacultyDr. Farokh Master was India’s First MD in Homeopathy who stood First Class First with a Gold Medal. He was the first Indian to be honoured by the House of Lords, UK for propagation of Homeopathic Systems of Medicine. Rated as Top 10 Best Homeopathic Doctors in the world by Pioneer University, Oxon U.K., and Members of the Board of the Pioneer Homoeopathic Academy of U.K and thereafter conferred the Honorary Doctorate of Homeopathy in 2006. Dr. Master has been independently practicing as a Homeopathic Physician at Mumbai’sHomeopathic Health Center, with over 29 years of experience in Homeopathic consultation and treatment. Faculty MemberDebbie Noah, CCH has two offices to serve you; in Phoenix and Chandler, Arizona. Her bachelor’s degree in is Holistic Health, and her master’s is in Licensed Professional Counseling. She is a graduate of the American Medical College of Homeopathy and the British Institute of Homeopathy. She has taught homeopathy extensively and is on the faculty at AMCH, and the Southwest Institute of Healing Arts. She was one of the first members/teachers of the Phoenix Homeopathy Study Group and has been a promoter and practitioner of the art of homeopathy for 25 years. Anita Barzman MD, CCH
FacultyAnita Josefa Barzman is a physician, psychoanalysts and classically trained homeopath who combines Jungian psychoanalysis and depth psychotherapy, homeopathy and psychiatry in her work in an integrated and eclectic manner. She has been in practice since 1989, and has included homeopathy in her practice since 1999. She is a 1985 graduate of the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine, completed the UCSF Psychiatry Residency Training Program in 1989, became Board Certified in Psychiatry in 1991, and was certified as a members analyst of the C.G. Jung Institute os San Francisco in 2999. Anita received her practitioners Diploma in Homeopathy from the School of Homeopathy. As a homeopath, Jungian analyst and psychiatrist, Anita is deeply interested in the multidimensional interconnectedness of mind, body and spirit. She teaches and has given papers on the topic of collaborative work between homeopaths and psychotherapists as well as resonances between Jungian psychology and homeopathy. He is a diplomate of the British Institute of Homeopathy and a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is past President of the Arizona Board of Homeopathic Medical Examiners and the president of the Arizona Homeopathic and Integrative Medical Association. He serves as chief medical advisorto Heel USA. He has an active homeopathic family practice in Phoenix, AZ.
Miriam Mackey CCH
Faulty MemberMiriam has been a practicing homeopath for nearly twenty years. She has a particular interest in evidence-based research in integrative health care, and an intellectual curiosity that helps her investigate complex conditions. Miriam has offices in Alameda and San Francisco and leverages technology for a global practice. Prior to discovering homeopathy, she was an exercise physiologist working in both a cardiac rehabilitation facility and an acute care hospital. Miriam’s background also includes many years of experience in sports medicine physical therapy clinics. She is a founding member of the Alameda Integrative Network, a working group for education amongst integrative practitioners in the San Francisco Bay Area. Miriam has taught at Pacific Academy of Homeopathy, and has spoken at many community events. Miriam has presented homeopathy at the California Society of Cardiac Rehabilitation’s annual conference.
