Cerebrum suis

Proving Summary

The complete proving is published as a monograph.    Contact the AMCH Bookstore for more information.

Overview

The analysis of the results of this proving was from the raw data of the proving subjects that received verum.  Results from those proving subjects that received placebo are found in Appendix F and were not included in this analysis. However, a comparison of the results of this analysis to the proving data from the proving subjects who received placebo can also be found in Appendix F.

Choosing the Remedy

Cerebrum suis  was chosen as a remedy to further examine the healing qualities of a remedy that had not previously been proven.  Cerebrum suis has been used extensively with good results for the treatment of a variety of cognitive problems.

Key Themes

A.  Mental Problems:

Traditional usage of this homeopathic medicine has been targeted at enhancing memory, concentration, states of mental exhaustion and mental alertness.  The medicine has been used to treat function weakness of the brain and circulatory disturbances of the brain (arteriosclerotic dementia).  The medicine has also been used to treat progressive paralysis, paraplegia and encephalomalacia.  Pigs are described as quite intelligent and have larger brains than sheep.  The cerebrum is proportionally larger than other mammals and more similar to humans than many other mammals.

During the proving concentration and memory enhancement was noted by several provers. Several provers described better clarity, mental acuity and focus of their mental functioning. Two of the provers described increased intuition and foresight.

The opposite of this state was described as chaos and chaotic thinking.  Several provers noted confusion, particularly in their dreams and two provers dreamt of people with dementia.

B.  Lost

Many provers lost important items during the proving.  This theme may be related to the cognitive issues found in Theme A.  This included wallets, articles of clothing and pets.  The reaction to the loss was unexpectedly strong and devastating.

Lost my wallet; money and ID; did not let it consume me; if I let it get to me it would have taken me down; I refused to let it take me down; I dealt with it; decided not to talk about it anymore; I knew if I talked about it  and needed to move on; Money and ID; don’t know what was worse; I had to get a hold of this and grip on this because it was taking me over; did everything I could do; called the bus, train and back tracked my steps; no one saw it; typically I don’t lose things; The minute I know I lost it my head was spinning and my heart was racing; needing to get a hold of this it would take me down; Had to trick myself to put it out of my mind and that the situation was normal; Two days later we talked about it; said I would not let it drive me crazy trying to get crazy; it is unusual to just get past it; I just moved on with my life; had pictures in it; had to bounce back and it would have easily overtaken me; had to let go and replace what I could; I could not move on otherwise; not moving on was a scary feeling; I just had to move on; tricked myself into thinking that I just had to move on; Losing the wallet was a big fall for me(E).

In addition, many of the provers described dreams of losing things. Often this was attributed to cognitive issues:

Dream: Went to see a movie or play with my mother; I lost her and went to hang out with old friends from high school; there were a lot of people like it was a mall(F).

C.  Gluttony

Most are familiar with the phrase “greedy as a pig”. Pigs are well known as omnivores that will eat nearly anything.  Diet consists in vegetation, eggs, insects, small animals and snakes. Much of their life is devoted to eating.

One of the provers described insatiable food cravings:

Very very strong urge for sweets; ate 8 out of 12 cupcakes; could not get enough sugar and chocolate;; this only lasted for one day; it was very strong craving; weirdest thing ever to happen to me; felt a warmthness with it; self satisfying feeling; the more I ate the more good I felt; I ate a chocolate bar after that-big chocolate bar; after that it kind of . . . did not make myself sick; needed that and wanted that(E);

Another prover described a temporary release from her food addiction:

Eating Less: I was thrilled to death; this was a big shift; normally I like to eat a lot and think a lot about food; I was satisfied mentally and physically; it was thrilling; mid afternoon I realized that oh my gosh I am not thinking of food and alive for food and don’t have to have it; it was mental; it used to be a minor obsession; I went beyond full and satisfied; it feels liberating; I felt like a normal person and eat to live rather than live to eat; I thought I lost five pounds over five days; felt satisfied and full(C);

Provers described both increased and decreased appetite.  Significant weight loss was noted in several provers, one of which lost 14 pounds during the month and another 8 pounds.  The opposite was described as follows:

Lack of motivation; feeling fat and gross lately; lazy and irresponsible(K);

Many provers had dreams related to food. They noted enjoyment related to eating.

Dream-I was staying with a host family in some foreign country and they were serving me bizarre cuts of meat from a cow; I felt confused and a little cautious about eating the meat but I ate it because I trusted the family and had good feelings about them; I did not know why they were eating the parts of the animal that they were(K);

Dream-Friend and I were eating shit sandwiches and we ask “why eat our own shit when we can just let it go?”; there was a large yard; many things about dogs(M);

Dream-Eating different kinds of food(R);

D.  Part of  Herd or Pack

Pigs are very social.  They are prized as pets for their social characteristics. They belong to the Artiodactyla family which is quite social with herd or pack behaviors. Pigs band together for safety and for food in groups called “sounders”.  Females in particular are more social whereas males can be more solitary.  Pigs do exhibit dominancy hierarchies with a pecking order (dominance, submission, superior and inferior).

Provers noted increased tendency to socialization during the proving.

I used to isolate a lot and not be with people; I never felt like I was enough; no longer feel that; like there was something lacking; willingness to go out and live my life now; maybe I can meet someone and get connected to people now where I could not before (I);

Many provers had dreams of socialization and feeling that they were part of a team.

Dream-In a doctors office viewing from side; students were on one side and patients on the other side of the room; students would try different things to view our behavior with certain conditions (e.g. scaring us; heat; cold); I was trying to help them turn on the air condition; the room was formal with chandeliers and carpet on floors; fabric on the walls; we were working as a team; then we went outside and saw several homeopathic doctors discussing a patient in a flower garden-various levels of plants but kind of tropical; it was beautiful; I gave them a book on materia medica from my purse(B);

Dream-I was talking to my first husband; we were getting along well and working as a team(C);

Dream-My wife and I were competing in a cooking contest and the judges were very impressed with our entry and we won; everyone was coming up and complementing us on our victory and excellent entry; in a large crowd at a political rally and we were celebrating the victory of our candidate(G);

Other provers described failed family relationships and a desire for independence.

Dream-A failed partnership with a friend; felt disappointed in friend as money from company had been removed from business account, leaving us with bouncing checks and no money to pay the bills(G);

Dream- I turned into a wolf; animal dream; turning into human and then into a wolf; running with this pack of wolves; I felt like I was the animal; could feel my fur and panting as the wolf; that was cool; shift change back to me; could feel my body and skin change back to the wolf(S);

Dream-I was at a family function and my cousins didn’t look like themselves; I felt very defensive around them; I had a project to do and I only did half of it; I was in a classroom type setting and there were lots of kids there that I socialized with; I realized I was better one on one(T);

E.  Competition

Pigs exhibit dominancy submission hierarchies consistent with typical animal behaviors. Competition is an important part of such hierarchies.

Provers noted increased competition during the proving.

More competitive than usual; super competitive; wanted to beat everyone; needed to win every game; anxious and nervous that I might now win(K);

Provers also had dreams of competition.

Dream-I had a beauty contest of sorts; the girl who had won the previous year wanted me to wear a red dress and wanted to ensure I wore heels; I realized that the breast area was bigger than she was; I went to a horribly dirty bathroom while wearing the dress and had a lot of diarrhea; diarrhea was everywhere and I could no longer wear the dress as some of it got on the dress and some of the dress got in the toilet (C);

Dream-My wife and I were competing in a cooking contest and the judges were very impressed with our entry and we won; everyone was coming up and complementing us on our victory and excellent entry; in a large crowd at a political rally and we were celebrating the victory of our candidate(G);

F.  Hiding vs. Aggression

Pigs generally are considered prey animals and react to threat by fright, freezing, hiding, flight and escaping. Pigs seek security through safety. Pigs also can demonstrate some aggression (pigs kill their prey through their tusks or by biting).

Many provers describe irritability and hostility during the proving.

Irritability; snapping at roommates; did not want to communicate with others; aggravated by coworkers; did not want to talk to anyone; annoyed(K);

Sleep paralysis; episode of sleep paralysis an old lady attacking me;  was sitting and rocking on my left shoulder; called old hag; manifested in my dream; Paranormal experience where my spirit left my body and speaking a language like Aramaic; spirit came back into my body and woke up; feeling of fear and confidence when it returned(W)

Provers exhibited aggressive dreams with both hiding and concealment.

Dream- Observing two people trying to hunt each other, find each other and smack each other down; hiding in cover and trying to avoid detection; this was going on in a labyrinthine warehouse; tense feeling(A);

Dream-My wife and several friends were trying to contend against a faction of people who were trying to hijack an election that their candidate did not legally win; the person was refusing to have office, even thought he did not win the election and anyone who spoke up against this person and saying that they had to leave the office were attacked and many killed by these groups who were acting on behalf of this corrupt politician; our group was going around speaking out and getting the people to support the legally elected official and then escaping to hide from the thugs who were trying to find us; our lives were in peril and this went on all night(G);

Dream-In a roller skating paintball game with a bunch of my friends; I was surprised to be skating, because I can’t skate very will in real life; I was having fun and enjoying the competition; I was feeling confident about my performance in the game(K);

Dream-Dogs fighting in my dream; very aggressive behavior; I was separating the dogs into different groups(S);

G.  Chaos

Pigs, when living in the wild, and to some extent, in a true free-range farm system, exhibit a significant organizational element to their behavior. They are social, gregarious mammals which prefer to live in a group. They modify their immediate environment as best as they can, to suit themselves,– e.g. ‘nest building’, making designated ‘toilet’ areas, etc. They are curious and connected to their surroundings. Pigs are intelligent animals with an emotional range that includes affection, friendship, an ability to dream, ‘sing’ to their offspring, and experience depression. The vast majority of domesticated pigs, however, live their lives where they are not in any basic control of their environment. There are some similarities in their plight to that of urbanized humankind!

With the advent of intensive farming methods, particularly the ‘factory farms’, the world has changed even more radically for most domesticated pigs. The loss of control is almost complete. They are products of intensive breeding programs and genetic manipulation, which has shifted the pattern of the pigs’ life from that of a free-ranging mobile existence, to one where the rapid grow of large, immobile pigs, ready to be slaughtered within months of birth, is the key driver.

This experience of loss of control is compounded by the constant threat of violence, their markedly restricted living space, cruel birthing practices, removal of the piglets at an early age, and the upcoming sense of their slaughter.

The pigs experiences chaos in their daily lives.

Several of the provers describe chaos during the proving.  This was a mental phenomenon associated with Theme A.  This theme was seen in both their waking lives and in their dreams.  One prover in particular related this to the feeling of out of control cancer.

Much chaos throughout the proving; anxious chaotic back drop; chaos internally and externally; many things breaking all month contributing to the chaos(I);

H.  Falling

Pigs are known for having a strong fear of being picked up and of falling.  They feel vulnerable and unsafe in high places where they are exposed.  Pigs often hide in thickets and woods.

This theme was sseen in falling sensations especially in the heart and dreams of falling.

Dream-Falling dream; jerked to save myself from falling and awoke(A);

Everything felt weird and surreal; anxious feeling for no reason; felt it in my chest, lungs and heart; like I was doing too much; like my heart is sinking down; like something tugging on my heart and dragging it down; like my heart is skipping beats(F);

The falling sensation was accompanied by a feeling of grief (see below).

I.  Grief

Pigs are well known to experience depression and grief at the loss of those for whom they care and love.  Pigs are very social animals and enjoy and need the company of others. Common manifestations of pig grief are loss of appetite, loss of thirst, weight loss, lethargy and sitting in one spot.  They can starve themselves if the owner doesn’t force feed/water them.  Treatment often involves the introduction of a new companion.

Depression is also common in pigs that are exposed to animal cruelty, coupled with cramped and severe living conditions in the pork industry. Domestic pigs typically are trapped in a cycle of suffering, she is forced to give birth on a hard concrete floor; denied the ability to properly nurture her young; and will be continually impregnated until her body can no longer physically cope. Her piglets are subjected to painful surgical procedures—without anaesthetic.  Pigs endure conditions much more severe than dogs and cats in the name of profit.

The grief experienced by the provers is focused in the heart and colon.  It is coupled with a sensation of separation and detachment.  On the one side there was a strong attachment to strong maternal figures in the family.  They were described as “the glue that held the family together”.  On the other side, there was a need to break free from these bonds and to become more independent. This echoes issues to domestication seen in Lac caninum and Lac felinum.

Grief-Conversations with mother that have not had for a long time; it distresses me greatly when I speak to her; realizing how invalidated I felt growing up; Argument with my mother was very toxic; some kind of toxicity that had been sitting there for such a long time trying to get out; I found who my mother is in the scheme of my life; I did not really see her for who she was until this proving; it was very freeing; not to be hooked into the filter of her manipulations; needed to be removed from my state to see it; that was profound; on the emotional level; to see how she pitted me against my brother and my father and I have no relationship with them because of the way she operated; like I woke up from a nightmare; saw the dynamics of how she operates and actually caused this over and over (I); 7. I am no longer so attached to my family and mother like I was; I think the body has to take its time to adjust to this new found place; realize I am alone on this planet; that is hard; now I can be who I want to be; sadness associated with that; I have come away with a sense of myself that wasn’t there before; now about what I think and has always been; feel like I lot of wasted energy in 60 years; could have had a relationship with my father; I felt like I was connected like this to her (HG two hands together); the connection physically was in the colon; then you open it up (HG hands moving apart) and you get the stuck sensation and pull it apart; only way I can explain it (I);

Many of the provers experienced grief during the proving: This occurred in both their waking life and dreams.

Many people I know have died in the last month; much grief(M)

Dream-Boy and girl holding hands in an amusement park; something about them caught my eye; adults were cutting in front of them; I stood by them until they got on the amusement ride; someone asked me if they were my kids and I said no, I was just watching them; once the kids were on the ride, I heard that the parents had died at the park and were not coming; I was going to adopt them; feeling of deep compassion and sympathy for them(J);

Dream: Sitting around a table with my father and mother; another person was there and was a woman with blonde hair; my mother was giving accolades to this woman and how wonderful she is; I was getting up from the table and said I am leaving; she said you are never leaving me and I said yes I am leaving you now; with that she disintegrated into dust; urged to turn around and saw her come apart into thousands of pieces turning into red dust that floated up in to the air into nothingness; That was profound; feeling of clarity and determination and certainty about knowing who I am without any guilt or remorse or need to please anyone else(I);

J.  Animals

There was a strong theme of animals during the proving. This was exhibited in dreams, and a feeling of increased connection with animals. In addition, several provers described their animals getting lost and jumping on their face at night.  Animals included cats, dogs, cows and wolves. The need for protection from wolves came up in the dreams of two of the provers.  Wolves and large felines are some of the primary predators for pigs. Animals were often described in groups.  Protection of animals and especially protection of young animals was a prominent theme. Issues of dirtiness, feces and disgust was also noted with some of the animals, particularly dogs. The word “runt” came up in several provers to describe young animals in their dreams.

My relationship with horses has become more enriched; growing up I did not want friends or boyfriend-just wanted a horses; when turned 40 I got myself a horse; single most incredible experience in my life so far; coming in with a passion(I);

Dream- I turned into a wolf; animal dream; turning into human and then into a wolf; running with this pack of wolves; I felt like I was the animal; could feel my fur and panting as the wolf; that was cool; shift change back to me; could feel my body and skin change back to the wolf(S);

I was in the forest and having to live off the land; it was like an extended camping trip; various forest critters were being friendly and docile(G);

K.  Children

Mammals have a strong connection to their young.  Much of their energy is spent in nourishing and caring for their young. Mothers build nests to take care of their young.

Themes of caring for children were seen throughout the proving. Children were also experienced as mischievous and stealing things.

Woke up thinking about a bad storm; woke up thinking about my daughter; my daughter was in Nashville which was having bad storms; worrying about her; I did call her to check on her; feeling helpless and fears(E);

Dream-Boy and girl holding hands in an amusement park; something about them caught my eye; adults were cutting in front of them; I stood by them until they got on the amusement ride; someone asked me if they were my kids and I said no, I was just watching them; once the kids were on the ride, I heard that the parents had died at the park and were not coming; I was going to adopt them; feeling of deep compassion and sympathy for them(J);

On the other side, bonds to one’s parents, particularly maternal bonds can be experienced as stifling. This connects to the theme of Adolescence (see below) and the rebelliousness of a teenager.

I am no longer so attached to my family and mother like I was; I think the body has to take its time to adjust to this new found place; realize I am alone on this planet; that is hard; now I can be who I want to be; sadness associated with that; I have come away with a sense of myself that wasn’t there before; now about what I think and has always been; feel like I lot of wasted energy in 60 years; could have had a relationship with my father; I felt like I was connected like this to her (HG two hands together); the connection physically was in the colon; then you open it up (HG hands moving apart) and you get the stuck sensation and pull it apart; only way I can explain it (I);

Dream- I was trying to move away from my parents house, but I realized I had seven kittens there that I had to take care of, a couple of which looked like runts, like they might die(T);

L.  Strong Sexuality

Pigs have a high reproductive rate and a strong focus on sexuality.

This theme was reflected in strong sexuality in many of the provers coupled with amorous dreams.  One prover described a one night stand which she had never done in the past. The sexuality was described as being like a teenager.

Increased sex drive with strong feelings of lust; newly single and ready to mingle(K);

Had a one night stand with a guy I barely know; this is not like me; drinking more as well; want to party more(K);

Animal sexuality was also seen.

Dream-Waiting at a bus station for an airplane; lone guy starts telling a joke about how periods are expensive and how his girlfriend gets expensive; the guy pulls out a long, petrified bull’s penis; I pull out my penis and show him my scar to break the tension and stand up for her(M);

M.  Teenager/Juvenile

Pigs were one of the first domesticated animals. In domesticated animals, there is often a tension between the desire to be taken care of and the desire for freedom or independence.

This expressed itself in the them of teenagers and juveniles.  Many provers noted that they felt like a teenager during the proving.   As noted previously, there was a strong need for independence from one’s parents noted in many of the provers. Also noted was a strong desire for the typical food preferences of teenagers (fast food, burgers, fries, pizza). Dreams of high school and being a teenager were common. Teenage sexuality was also common.

I dreamt that I was with an old high school friend and her boyfriend and she was talking exactly the same and trying to recreate an experience we had in high school; I felt as if I had evolved past certain traps I would have normally fallen into; my insight and foresight had increased in clarity(K);

This was coupled with defiance and sneaking around avoiding the authorities. In the prover dreams they would try to steal things just to see if they could get away with it.

Part of me wants to say-fuck you, I don’t want to do this anymore; let me do what I want(I);

Dream-In community college and all doing art work; the instructor berated us and that nothing was selling; I felt like I was juvenile at that point; came back to her and said look we did a lot of work on this and no one will buy them; just relax; getting aware of the juvenileness and pushing myself out of a pattern; feeling people of authority-someone who is in authority and I am like a child again and I behave; feeling that I am an adult and no one has authority over me but me (M);

Dream-Sitting around a table with my father and mother; another person was there and was a woman with blonde hair; my mother was giving accolades to this woman and how wonderful she is; I was getting up from the table and said I am leaving; she said you are never leaving me and I said yes I am leaving you now; with that she disintegrated into dust; urged to turn around and saw her come apart into thousands of pieces turning into red dust that floated up in to the air into nothingness; That was profound; feeling of clarity and determination and certainty about knowing who I am without any guilt or remorse or need to please anyone else(I);

It was also noted in one prover who had a menstrual cycle like she had when she was a teenager.

Today with my new cycle and its hugely different; this time I feel like I am 18 years old and it is my first one; bad cramps; really bad PMS symptoms (very moody); soreness  in my breasts; have not had symptoms like this since adolescent; it was three days late (usually 28 days)(S);

N.  Invasion of Territory

Pigs are very successful and wide spread.  Pigs are territorial animals.  They protect/guard their territory from threat/invasion and protect their young. Attacks by wolves on pigs are repeated on their flanks where they eventually bleed to death.

Provers described an invasion of privacy.

Grief-Conversations with mother that have not had for a long time; it distresses me greatly when I speak to her; realizing how invalidated I felt growing up; Argument with my mother was very toxic; some kind of toxicity that had been sitting there for such a long time trying to get out; I found who my mother is in the scheme of my life; I did not really see her for who she was until this proving; it was very freeing; not to be hooked into the filter of her manipulations; needed to be removed from my state to see it; that was profound; on the emotional level; to see how she pitted me against my brother and my father and I have no relationship with them because of the way she operated; like I woke up from a nightmare; saw the dynamics of how she operates and actually caused this over and over (I);

Several provers described dreams of accidents where their car was injured by other cars who hit them glancing blows and coming very quickly.

Dream-In a fender bender but not sure if he had caused it or not; looking at the rear of the car with the other owner; left sided broken bumper and light(A);

The reaction to the intrusion was one of irritability, frustration and anger.

O. Dreams of Stool, Disgust and Dirt

The dietary laws of Judaism and Islam forbid the eating of flesh of swine or pork in any form, considering the pig to be an unclean animal. Pigs can resort to coprophagia (eating feces) in captivity.

Many of the mammal remedies have dream themes of stool, dirt and disgust. This was seen in this proving as well.

Dream-I had a beauty contest of sorts; the girl who had won the previous year wanted me to wear a red dress and wanted to ensure I wore heels; I realized that the breast area was bigger than she was; I went to a horribly dirty bathroom while wearing the dress and had a lot of diarrhea; diarrhea was everywhere and I could no longer wear the dress as some of it got on the dress and some of the dress got in the toilet (C)

Dream-Friend and I were eating shit sandwiches and we ask “why eat our own shit when we can just let it go?”; there was a large yard; many things about dogs(M);

P:  Avarice

Pigs have long been associated not only with greed in eating but also monetary greed.  “Feeding the pig” is a term that has been long used to put money into the bank.

Another form that the greed took during this proving was the theme of avarice. There were dreams of stealing money coupled with the greed.

Dream-A failed partnership with a friend; felt disappointed in friend as money from company had been removed from business account, leaving us with bouncing checks and no money to pay the bills(G);

Dream-I went to a diamond processing plant there was a huge vat of diamonds being dried from being cleaned; our group was touring the facility, and for fun we all jumped in the vat, like a swimming pool, to wade through the diamonds, like a wading pool along with the workers; were detained for days, while we were inspected and searched and x rayed for suspected smuggling of the diamonds; after several days of close scrutiny, we all passed . . . with a clean slate but afterwards, when I got home I found a diamond stuck in my belt buckle and decided to keep it for the rude inconvenience(G);

Dreams-At a beautiful mansion with a gorgeous pool and dog; many people around with music (I was a DJ at the party); police showed up and had us turn it down; felt good being around wealth(M);

Miasm

Miasm is difficult to describe based on a single proving.  Miasms of the remedy become contaminated by the miasms of the provers.

What is strongest here is a suggestion of the Sycotic Miasm, although there is some evidence of the Psoric Miasm or Cancer Miasms as well.

Sensations

Four primary general sensations were identified in the proving.  These included

Pressing, Pulling Down, Cramping and Separation/Detachment.

  •  Pressing Pains

Extreme Sacral pain/abdominal pain; worse right; pain in abdomen shoots to the lower back and down the right leg into right knee cap; screaming pain; tortured with the pain; unable to walk for two days; pressing pain outward like organs were pressing outward; it felt tight and swollen (HG of fist); like my colon was completely packed, not moving and stuck; better stool; worse morning; inflamed feeling; worse lower right like when you low water into something and it expands out; unresponsive to osteopathic treatment; worse walking; sensation of stiff, restricted and pressing; worse sitting and getting out of bed; worse AM; Bowen work moderately helpful-diagnosed colon problems; sensitivity of both ascending and descending colon; it feels like torture(I);

Real stiff neck; inch wide band around the neck which disappeared then went back to baseline; like a neck brace; very tight;; like tight tape around my neck; like in a vice; 1 ½ inch thick; stretching helped; ice helped (M);

Pressing Down

Chronic headaches; like pressure on my forehead and on the top of my nose and under my eyes; when I pressed on it, it felt better; my typical HA are band like; this was a different feeling; this felt more like a heaviness to it; like it was pulling down; both sides; woke up with it on a weekend (that is atypical) and then it went away over the course of the day; work up the next day with it and lasted all day long until the following day in the middle of the day; it was better pressure; exercise made it feel better(R);

Unusual extreme blushing was weird; it was happening randomly ; nothing triggered; along with it would feel my heart would not be able to compensate for the change in blood pressure and felt like there was a heavy weight on my chest and heart pulling down; like it could not compensate for all of the blood that needs to go everywhere; feeling that if I stood up fast my body could not compensate for the change(F);

  • Cramping

Cramping pains in abdomen after taking the remedy; above the belly button and below the ribs(B);

Cramping of uterus before menses; crazy cramping; worst cramping I ever had in my life; worse morning(V);

  • Separation and Detachment

I am no longer so attached to my family and mother like I was; I think the body has to take its time to adjust to this new found place; realize I am alone on this planet; that is hard; now I can be who I want to be; sadness associated with that; I have come away with a sense of myself that wasn’t there before; now about what I think and has always been; feel like I lot of wasted energy in 60 years; could have had a relationship with my father; I felt like I was connected like this to her (HG two hands together); the connection physically was in the colon; then you open it up (HG hands moving apart) and you get the stuck sensation and pull it apart; only way I can explain it (I);

Stomach: Diminished appetite was seen in 5 provers with weight loss of up to 12 pounds in one month. Diminished thirst was also noted in three provers with dehydration related to one. Nausea was noted in two of the provers with the interesting symptom noted of being better eating in two of them.

Abdomen: Abdominal distension was seen in 8 provers, also associated with menses.  Abdominal cramping was severe and again related to menses. Cramping was worse in the morning and better after stool. Pustular eruptions of abdomen were seen.  These were blue/brown and symmetric.

Swelling of the hands was also noted. Aching in the lumbar region was seen in two provers that was very intense in one prover and cured in another. Strong sciatica was seen in one prover with the description of “as if a string were attached from the gluteus to the ankle-a line with a burning sensation”.
