International Dual Program in Acupuncture and Homeopathic Medicine

Through PIHMA’s Masters Degree programs in Acupuncture and in Oriental Medicine, combined with the AMCH at PIHMA Homeopathy Homeopathic Practitioner Program, we are able to offer a dual study program in AOM and homeopathic medicine. This program leads to expert level knowledge in both Eastern and Western Traditional Medicines.

Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture at PIHMA

The  PIHMA College and Clinic (Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture) is licensed by the Arizona Private Postsecondary Education Board to offer its 4-year master of science degrees in Acupuncture (2665 hours) and Oriental Medicine (3310 hours). These Master’s degree programs (the Acupuncture degree can be completed in less time depending upon one’s schedule) are designed to prepare students to sit for the National Certification Examination in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). This exam is the main requirement for licensing in most states, including Arizona. PIHMA is renowned for its clinic which treats more than 10,000 clients each year offering low–cost treatments to the public. PIHMA officially started in 1996. In May of 2003, PIHMA received full accreditation and has been reaccredited since. PIHMA is the valley’s only accredited Oriental Medical & Acupuncture College. PIHMA offers a flexible weekend/evening course schedule and a variety of clinical shifts during the week.
